Mr. Wooditch has been a practicing criminal defense attorney since he graduated from the Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC in 1992. He is licensed to practice law in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He has handled numerous criminal cases ranging from speeding tickets to criminal misdemeanors to the most serious felony charges including rape, robbery and murder.
Mr. Wooditch was born in Washington DC but has lived in the Northern Virginia almost his entire life. He attended the St. Stephen's and St. Agnes Episcopal School in Alexandria from 1st through 12th grade and graduated in 1980. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in 1984 and an MBA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1986.
After Graduate School, he worked for the Federal Government at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission before deciding to attend Law School in the Fall of 1989. He received a Merit Scholarship from the Howard University School of Law and his primary focus was Criminal Law and being a Trial Attorney. He was an editor of the Howard Law Journal and a published author. He was a member of the Moot Court Oral Advocacy Team and participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic where he represented individuals charged with crimes in the District of Columbia Superior Court. He graduated in 1992.
Mr. Wooditch began his legal career as a member of the Office of the Public Defender in Alexandria, Virginia for many years before working in the Fairfax Office. He has been a member of the Law Offices of Patrick N. Anderson since April 2004.
In Mr. Wooditch's social life, he is an active individual and an avid bicyclist. He has ridden in several more organized Century rides over the last several years including the Seagull Century in Salisbury Maryland which he has have completed every year since 2002. (A Century ride is 100 miles in one day). He enjoys the outdoors and participates in many activities to stay in good physical shape.
